SEAN OSTERDAY

For the past 5 years, Sean has been working on various frontiers between technology and society, specifically where new technology platforms confront existing legal frameworks that inhibit scalability. In his work experience, Sean began as a data analyst within Facebook’s legal operations, helping develop and scale products involving complex, multinational intellectual property and personal rights laws.

The experience working on the frontier between intellectual property, personal rights laws and the internet led Sean to the JOBS Act and the new frontier between finance & securities law and the internet. Thereafter, Sean founded the San Francisco Securities Exchange – an attempt at creating a decentralized, P2P securities market.

Today, Sean focuses on how new platforms facilitate social impact via utility, transparency, and accessibility for their users.
